Mid-19th Century Victorian Pendant with a Small Diamond and a Pearl Dangle

Circa 1865 handmade of 15 karat gold with wire work design with four hand engraved leaves on the front using the diamond as the flower in the design. The dangle from the pendant is an 8mm by 4mm natural pearl. In the Language of the Gems in this time period, Pearls meant ”Modest Loveliness". Also is set with a small hand cut Mine Cut diamond which meant “Forever Thine”. This is from the Louisville, Kentucky area. and is very nicely made and the size is 1 1/2 inches tall, including bale, and 5/8 of an inch wide. This has a new 16 inch gold chain added. The pendant would originally have been worn with a small ribbon. Excellent condition and beautiful to wear.
