Elaborate workmanship is seen in this all handmade custom work this large brooch of a goldsmith of the mid-nineteenth century. The gold work is 22 karat gold. It has a beautiful scroll and foliage engraved in the 22 karat gold setting and a safety chain, as well. The workmanship is outstanding! This is a large grand brooch and will be noticed when worn on any outfit, period (reenacting) or modern it will be dramatic. The size is 2 1/3 inches tall and 1 ½ inches wide. The gemstone is an amazing hand cut and hand polished natural Citrine gemstone, measuring 7 1/3 carats.
