The handmade setting is made of 15 karat Rose Gold in an Etruscan Revival style and is circa dated to 1855. The ring is from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The ring holds a gemstone of 2.85 carats of natural
deep red Almandine Garnets. The stone is hand polished in a cabochon Garnet instead of faceting (cutting) the gemstone.

The ring is a size 5 ½ but could be re-sized if needed. The rose gold band is 3.5 mm wide at the back of the band. The front of the ring is ½ of an inch tall and 5/16 of an inch wide (which is just over ¼ of an inch wide.
