This bracelet is a true work of art. The band of the bracelet is made of finely woven gold handmade wire. The meshwork is on a frame of 15kt gold bangle. The clasp was replaced sometime in the 20th century and the bracelet that test 15 karat gold was marked 14karet on the new clasp was replaced. The work in making the bracelet was all done by hand even forming the wire from gold wire to the gold bangle and done perfectly. The buckle is a very Victorian design that Queen Victoria wore as a Queen which made the style popular in America as well as in England. The bracelet is from Pennsylvania and circa 1860, purchased from a collector who purchased it in the area several years ago.

The size is very nice –just over 7 inches inside measurement, so will fit almost any wrist of today’s woman. The width of the clasp is 1/2 inch and the 3/8 of an inch for the rest of the band.
