This is from the Indiana area, and is a handmade ring that tests a strong 18 karat gold. The gold work holds a solitaire natural Mine Cut Diamond of 25 points of a carat and set in a crown setting, which means that if you look at the setting from the side it looks like a crown design which is holding the gemstone. Diamonds mean “Forever Thine or True Love” in the Victorian Language of Gemstones. The diamond was cut by hand using other times to cut this stone. Diamonds were the hardest material known to cut gemstones of all kinds. The ring is a Size 7 ¼ and can be sized up or down if needed. Ring is in excellent condition, beautiful and fine to wear with the diamond well set and strong. The ring belonged to Hannah Chamerlin wife of John her birth is 1831-and death 1906 and lived in Whitley County Indiana. I purchased the ring from a family menber.
