This is an early handmade pin circa 1840 and made of 18 karat yellow gold. The design on the front of the dainty pin is two hearts intertwined hearts which are set with tiny seed pearls. The ribbon is set with 23 seed pearls on the pin. In the 1840 time period a lot of hearts, flowers and ribbon designs were used in all forms of art... This early pin would make a wonderful wedding gift for “something old” and could start a new family heirloom.
