: This pin is handmade of 15kt yellow gold and is Circa 1865 time period. The setting is a work of art in itself. The gold is set with 8 natural ocean seed pearls. The center has a 16 point natural Sapphire that is the rich blue color that was mined in Madagascar in the Victorian time period. The Sapphire represented “Innocence” in the Victorian “Language of Gemstones”. This pin is from a collector who dated it 1860 to 1865. The pin has the C-clasps, and has the original T-bar hinge. The size of the pin is 2 ¼ inches across, and all is in excellent condition.
